The Tesa 7055 is a double sided tape for constructive bonding and is part of the highest performing product line by Tesa. It is a transparent acrylic core tape. It consists of a high-performance acrylic system and is primarily characterized by its bonding power, stress dissipation and its temperature and weather resistance. Due to the high transparency, it is especially suitable for constructive/permanent bonding of transparent materials such as glass or acrylic. The product provides a high immediate tack and peel adhesion. The visco-elastic, solid acrylic core compensates for different thermal elongations of bonded parts. Bonding of transparent and translucent materials in the following Industries: sign manufacturing, deco glass panels, partition walls. Solid acrylic backing material. 1000 micrometers total thickness. Pure acrylic adhesive. 1000 percent elongation at break. Adhesion to steel (initial): 15 N/cm; aluminum (initial): 13 N/cm; glass (initial): 16 N/cm; PMMA (initial): 13 N/cm; steel (after 3 days): 24 N/cm; aluminum (after 3 days): 24 N/cm; glass (after 3 days): 24 N/cm; PMMA (after 3 days): 17 N/cm. Good tack, very good ageing resistance (UV), very good humidity resistance, very good resistance to chemicals, medium softener resistance, very good static shear resistance at 73.4 degree F, good static shear resistance at 158 degree F, good T-block.
