Neoregelia 'Tiger Cub' is a bromeliad suitable for any size vivaria, and will form a rosette 3-5" across. Neoregelia 'Tiger Cub' holds a decent amount of water, making it ideal for tadpole rearing.Neoregelia 'Tiger Cub' is an epiphyte in nature, and can grow attached to the background or hardscape in a naturalistic vivarium, or be planted in very well draining substrate. Neoregelia 'Tiger Cub' should be planted on the background on in the back area of a vivarium.Neoregelia 'Tiger Cub' has moderate water needs, and should not have standing water on it's leaves. Water in the cup of the bromeliad should be flushed at least once a week. Neoregelia 'Tiger Cub' has moderate to high light needs - under more intense light, Neoregelia 'Tiger Cub' will display brighter colors. Neoregelia 'Tiger Cub' is a slow grower, and will form clumps consisting of the mother plant surrounded by pups, or younger plants that grow off of the mother plant. Neoregelia 'Tiger Cub' appreciates air circulation, but it is not necessary if the plant is allowed to dry out slightly between waterings. In a vivarium, Neoregelia 'Tiger Cub' makes a great bromeliad for poison dart frogs to lay eggs on and deposit tadpoles in.ALL PLANTS SHIPPED BAREROOT (WITHOUT SOIL AND POT)The plant pictured is in a 3.5" pot.
