This perennial mix of 5 of the best clovers out there for food plots gives you a highly palatable protein dense clover plot that is drought tolerant, wet soil tolerant, extremely cold hardy (-15° F), can stand up to high graze pressure, and will stick around for up to 5 yrs if maintained with mowing and weed control when needed. Contains carefully selected varieties of balansa, white, and crimson clovers for a robust mix that’s nearly bulletproof. Use it as a graze tolerant microplot or a highly nutritious destination food source. Either way this clover blend will be pumping out food for your deer and turkeys all year long even in the dead of winter. Ingredients: 5 types of clover How we formulated this mix: The 5 clovers in this mix were carefully selected to complement each other. If one had a weak point or a condition it didn’t perform well in we incorporated other clovers that are strong in that area to ensure that this mix will perform in the widest range of conditions possible. The result is a composite of clovers that are extremely drought tolerant, stand up to heavy grazing, can withstand high moisture areas and light flooding, and are incredibly winter hardy even tolerating temps as low of -15 deg F. Predominantly perennial clovers with a small annual clover component to help the stand establish and provide fast full growth the first year. WHERE TO PLANT: Areas with full sun to fairly shady areas. Logging roads, trails, small plots, or large destination food sources. pH: 6.0-7.0 MINIMUM SOIL FERTILITY NEEDED: Moderate WHEN TO PLANT: NORTH: March-June or Aug-Sep CENTRAL: Mar-May or Aug-Oct SOUTH: Sep-Early Nov Can be frost seeded in winter 3-5 weeks before the last frost. SOIL PREP: Disc, tiller, or plow, or can be used as a no-till planting just use landscape or hand rake or expose/lightly work soil. Culti-pack or drive over with an ATV before and after planting for best results. Can be used to overseed into existing plots. PLANTING DEPTH: 1/8in or less FERTILIZER: For best results use the Whitetail Hill Soil Test and apply fertilizer as recommended by the test - Order at WhitetailHill.com
